Sounds Fishy are offering a new take on the mobile disco. We’re getting away from the cheesy DJ, tacky lights and poor quality sound that has come to signify the cheaper end discos & DJs. We only use top quality audio and lighting systems .. the sort of thing usually used for concerts and nightclubs.

We show our commitment to your event with a written agreement and proof of Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certificates, if required.

We don’t drink whilst performing, we don’t use cheap advertising boards .. and we certainly don’t chat on the microphone all night… well, unless you ask us to make an announcement or two !

We do play suitable background music as your guests arrive, and we do perform with high quality music from a PC based system that’s better than CD’s (we’re a bit geeky when it comes to sounding good) and a spectacular lighting system.  A lighting system that is so advanced it needs a dedicated operator to control it, and make sure the look and feel of the lighting matches the music precisely.

Truth be told, we’re a bit geeky about the light show too.

To be honest.. we’re likely to appeal to a client who has invested substantially in their event, and who is keen to keep clear of a cheap, tacky and cheesy disco that can lower the tone, impact and success of an important event. The average cost of wedding entertainment in 2008/9 was £599… and for not a lot more… you get a LOT more.

With 20 years experience in events and entertainment we’ve built quite a reputation behind the scenes on shows of all kinds.. and we’re bringing that expertise to the mobile disco. It’s about time “shaky’s good time roadshow*” got some quality competition.
We understand that each of our customers and venues are different. Therefore we have to give quotations that are tailored to suit your personal requirements and are based on a standard start and finish time – 7:30pm till midnight. But if your other quote is from shaky*… you’ll probably find us too expensive.. !
