***** We got married on 28th August 2011 and hired ‘Sounds Fishy’ to take care of the lighting and the music for the big day. From the very moment Ian came on board we instantly relaxed about that particular element of the wedding.

Sounds Fishy directly liaised with the venue and conducted a site visit in good time before the wedding day. Ian also kept us constantly informed on his thoughts and plans for the wedding day.

When the revellers arrived at the venue on the big day, Ian had set up a fantastic lighting and music rig. The venue co-ordinator even took me to one side during the party to compliment me on my choice of DJ. He indicated that he had never before worked with such a professional set up.

Our memories of the party on the wedding night are filled with fantastic tunes, a throbbing dancefloor, great smoke and lighting effects and even now people tell us what a fantastic night they had.

Having worked with Ian at Heart FM, I know the wealth of experience and expertise he has. When it came to choosing a DJ for our evening wedding reception, there was no question who we trusted to do the job perfectly.

Just as we expected, Ian and the crew at Sounds Fishy did not let us down. The dance floor was packed all night. Everyone enjoyed dancing, loved the music that was played and had a fantastic time. I did not sit down all night, there was not one bad song played. All of our guests commented on how good the disco was. Ian played a variety of music to suite his audience.

The Sounds Fishy lighting equipment was also fantastic, it helped to create a lovely atmosphere. Ian perfectly matched the colour of the lights to our wedding theme (Pink), it made the room look amazing as our guest walked in. A lot better than the usual constantly flashing green, yellow and red lights most DJs seem to have.

Ian was also on hand to offer us advice throughout the planning of our wedding. He had some great ideas and helped us out with the music for the church. Thank you Ian!

Although Sounds Fishy are slightly more expensive than an average DJ, it is definately worth investing more of your budget in the evening reception. We went to a few discos on the lead up to our wedding. The songs the DJs were playing were terrible and out of date. The atmosphere was lacking and the dance floors were empty. It was at these that we realised what a good decision we had made to spend more money on our DJ and how lucky we were to have Sounds Fishy at our wedding.

I cannot recommend Sounds Fishy enough! Our evening recepetion was fantastic thanks to Ian and the crew. If there was one piece of advice for anyone planning their wedding it would be to spend more on a quality DJ. Thank you so much Ian, you’re a gem.

We recently hired Sounds Fishy to provide the lighting for our wedding during the wedding breakfast and also for the party in the evening. The lighting they provided was really amazing and really helped to create an amazing atmosphere for the party. It was even better than we imagined it would be.
We had seen a photograph on Facebook… of the lighting they provided at another wedding at the same venue we were using, and it looked so incredible that we contacted them via their website for a quote.
On the day, we were very unaware of all the setup that went on. It was very quiet and professional, and we were only asked to approve the end result when everything was completed. As expected, it was perfect. The lighting also had to be re-positioned after the meal for the party, but again, we were completely unaware of that.
During the whole process from reciving the quote to the day itself, Sounds Fishy were incredibly efficient, polite, informative, flexible and very willing to provide useful hints and tips for all brides and grooms – to be.
I would highly recommend Sounds Fishy to any of my friends who are having a wedding.

Can’t big these guys enough enough. [Sounds Fishy] …did a great job for me over the weekend and Ian was a rock during the planning. One might not naturally think of an events company as someone who can help with corporate presentations, communication and training but they are a first class corporate supplier. Ian has produced to camera pieces for my Chief Executive to communicate to our employees, filmed training sessions and done a tremendous amount of work on presentations (including when I had a major panic over a weekend!). The skill he brings to a multimedia presentation is wonderful. He can make a dull slideshow into a little film to music which is great for making a presentation interesting and really helpful if you are a less confident presenter as he makes the impact for you. He is very professional, capable and discrete. I have already recommended him to other global organisations and I would have no hesitation in recommending him again for this kind of work. He brings all the discipline and organisation from his events experience to his corporate work along with tremendous creativity and pizzazz!

Excellent communication prior to the event with strong emphasis placed on the fact that Sounds Fishy would take care of everything on the day. Set up and breakdown of equipment was very efficient. Lighting was superb – absolutely transformed the venue and created incredibly high-class effects which was exactly what I wanted. The video Sounds Fishy produced for our wedding could not have been better. Ian (and Pete) were fantastic. Professional, funny, engaging and very hardworking. They had everything covered. They said that they would create a fantastic wedding music video for us and they did exactly that and more!! We cannot believe how good it is….nor can our friends and family….my wife has even been recognised from the video by randoms who have seen it on Youtube, and apparently its been doing its rounds in Australia too!!!
The pre-planning meeting was sooooooo helpful. It enabled Ian to see the venue and start working the magic in his head. It also instilled a great deal of confidence in us knowing that we could rest assured that he and his team had everything covered.

I could not recommend them any higher than I already do, we will be getting them involved at christenings, birthdays, the lot, from now on!!!

The overall event was amazing… The sound and lights provided by Sounds Fishy were brilliant. The wedding felt a lot bigger in respects to a concert you would see at the LG Arena.

Custom Service wise we both felt in the best possible hands, with nothing too big an ask, and friendly staff making our day that much more special.
The best moment was of course the first dance but even more special was seeing the dance floor full all night!
