Not just sound and lighting…

On May 9th, soundsfishy worked at Wroxall Abbey at the wedding of Kelly & PJ to put together a music video, or as some people call it… “Marryoke”. We know Kelly from the “day job” (Fishy and Kelly work together at Heart 100.7 – Kelly produces Heart Breakfast with Ed James & Rachel New) so, although it’s not part of our regular portfolio, we threw ourselves into becoming video directors for the day !

Wedding planner Julie, the venue, and the photographers were very accommodating – plus Kelly and PJ had done a lot of preparation with their guests getting the lyrics and song out to everybody so they could practice !

8 hours of filming, and 6 hours of editing later.. this is what we delivered to the bride and groom (just three days after the wedding!)..

Save The Date magazinbe covered PJ & Kelly’s wedding, and did a short piece about the video.. click here

For another example of one of our “marryoke” videos.. click here to see Vicky & Neil’s verion of “Don’t Stop Me Now”.

If you’d like to talk to us about making a music video during your wedding day, we’d love to hear from you.. but here’s some things you need to know..
You’ll need to choose the song, and prep’ your guests well in advance so they know what’s going on (Kelly & PJ sent out cd’s and lyric sheets with the invites)… you’ll need to let the photographers know there’ll be a film crew interrupting them.. and, well lots of other things too.. but we can guide you on all that…. phew!

So, if you’re interested in getting a video like this made… then drop us an email to hello@soundsfishy.co.uk … maybe we can do your disco in the evening, and shoot the music video during the day – we’ll do a great deal if you book us for both !
