We’re trusted to work with famous performers, comedians and presenters and understand their requirements as well as the clients needs.
Now, Sounds Fishy Productions is coming out from behind the scenes, and making our services available direct. We’re passionate about making every event, or disco, the best it can be, and we have a reputation in the music and entertainment industry that proves our attention to detail pays off.
We use only the best suppliers, many of whom are trusted friends that we’ve worked on events with for years, meaning you get the benefit of a team that is experienced, professional, and perhaps above all.. fun to work with.
We’re also happy to offer advice and guidance.. free of charge.. even if that sometimes means we’re not the right people to help.

Sounds Fishy was started by Ian Fish back in the late eighties as a simple disco & DJ set up, based in Cheshire, working across his home county and into The Wirral and Merseyside. Successful bookings quickly led to work on more prestigious events (there’s a lot of premier football players in Cheshire!) with demand growing all the time. Thankfully it was possible to combine the live event and disco work with Ian’s career in radio production, meaning plenty of opportunities to work with top name performers across the years.
Now working for one of the UK’s biggest commercial radio stations as Multimedia and Events Producer, Ian has a wealth of experience in managing and planning a variety of high profile events, and works with some of the best radio presenters in the country.
Ian is a qualified First Aider, holds a NEBOSH distinction in Health & Safety, has attended the Government’s Emergency Planning College on event safety and acts as advisor on event Health & Safety to Heart 100.7. In addition, Ian has been nominated for the Sony Radio Awards in the UK and won several international awards for radio & production.
